Broadlawns Medical Center has named Yogesh Shah as the organization’s next chief medical officer and vice president of medical affairs, effective Jan. 6, 2020, the organization announced today. Shah succeeds Vincent Mandracchia, who retires in February after a 25-year career at Broadlawns, including 13 years in senior leadership. In his new role, Shah will assume oversight of the medical staff, credentialing, quality and risk management, and patient outcomes. He is a triple board certified physician in geriatrics, family medicine, hospice and palliative care, and joined Broadlawns Medical Center in September 2016. He practices as a geriatrician in the Broadlawns Geriatric and Memory Center, is the founding director of the Broadlawns Palliative Care Program, and serves on the Medical Executive Board and as a faculty member for the Broadlawns Family Medicine Residency Program.
