University of Iowa Health Care, through one of its subsidiaries, is partnering with a national health care company to build a 40-bed rehabilitation inpatient hospital in Coralville, the Cedar Rapids Gazette reported. The $27 million hospital, which is currently under construction, is expected to open in June. The facility will be named the University of Iowa Health Network Rehabilitation Hospital. A partnership with Encompass Health Corp. of Birmingham, Ala., the hospital will serve patients recovering from a range of illnesses and injuries, including strokes, other neurological disorders, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions.
