Carson King, the 24-year-old Altoona man who launched a million-dollar children’s hospital fundraiser with a sign asking for beer money, has established a new foundation aimed at supporting fundraisers across Iowa communities. The Carson King Foundation will aid communities in establishing fundraisers for causes including hospital foundations, food banks, shelter homes and other philanthropic services; notably, the foundation will not be taking donations through Venmo, although other digital methods are available.
