Des Moines will host a national summit of nursing professionals later this week, a visit that officials with Catch Des Moines say could open doors to more medical conferences in the future. Catch Des Moines staff members said more than 90 people representing more than 40 nursing organizations will attend the Nursing Organization Alliance’s 21st Annual Summit, which will feature 20 exhibitors, sessions that advance the nursing profession, and networking opportunities. The summit is being held at the Des Moines Marriott, the Iowa Events Center and Hilton Downtown Des Moines, and is scheduled for Thursday through Saturday. The Nursing Organization Alliance was scheduled to come to Des Moines in 2020 but was moved to this year because of the coronavirus pandemic, according to Catch Des Moines.
