Pro Iowa and Des Moines Menace to host USA-Netherlands watch party
The U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team has secured its position in the Round of 16, which is the knockout round of the competition. To celebrate this accomplishment, Pro Iowa, the organization formed to bring professional soccer to Iowa, and the Des Moines Menace will host a free watch party at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Hall, 111 S. 11th St. in West Des Moines, as the U.S. team takes on the Netherlands. The doors will open at 8 a.m. and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. There will also be standing room available for those who do not get seats. Pro Iowa and the Des Moines Menace have hosted seven watch parties throughout the Des Moines area. “The community’s response to our watch parties has been amazing,” said Kyle Davy, director of revenue for Pro Iowa.
