Nominations open for 1000 Friends of Iowa’s Best Development Awards

1000 Friends of Iowa, a statewide nonprofit organization promoting responsible land use and sustainability, has opened the nomination period for its Best Development Awards Program. According to a news release, the program recognizes projects and programs that connect buildings, land, natural resources, development, positive community impact, and quality of life as well as the organizations and individuals responsible for those projects and programs. Nominations are due by Dec. 9 and there is a $25 fee to submit a nomination or self-nomination. Winners will be chosen by independent jurors in December with an awards ceremony scheduled for Jan. 24, 2023, in the Capitol rotunda.
