Gravitate, which opened five months ago and billed itself as the entrepreneurial center of gravity in downtown Des Moines, will have a grand opening from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
It’s a chance to meet more than 50 workers who use space at Gravitate headquarters, located on the third floor of 206 Sixth Ave., and to tour the shared workspace. A new annex on the fourth floor will be open.
The event will highlight a new gallery show by local artist Michelle Holley, free drinks, appetizers and informal discussion of the Des Moines startup scene, recently ranked No. 9 in the country by Popular Mechanics.
The grand opening is co-sponsored by dmStartup Drinks.

At noon on Feb. 3, Max Farrell of Create Reason will speak.
