Nominations open for Mannheimer Student Advocacy Award
The American Civil Liberties Union of Iowa will soon honor a young Iowan who shows exceptional passion for civil liberties through its Robert Mannheimer Youth Advocacy Award. Nominations are now open for the $500 award. Candidates should be between 14 and 19 years old and have a record of advocacy for civil liberties, including free speech, free expression, LGBTQ issues, and racial and gender equality, among others.
