Holmes Murphy & Associates Inc. announced today it has acquired the Omaha-based operations of Willis of Minnesota Inc., doing business as Willis of Nebraska. The transaction, which closed effective Feb. 28, includes one retail insurance brokerage office that designs and services property and casualty insurance programs to insure the operations of college-based student organizations, honor societies, leadership councils and alumni associations. The office will report to Daniel Keough, chairman and CEO of Holmes Murphy. The acquisition reflects Holmes Murphy’s aggressive business growth strategy and further strengthens the firm’s depth in the property and casualty sphere, according to Keough. The office will remain in Omaha while continuing to serve its fraternal community niche nationwide.
