The Iowa Sports Foundation announced today that it will sponsor the Live Healthy Iowa Kids Track Championship as a statewide event to continue the tradition of the former Hershey’s Track and Field Games in Iowa. Hershey, which had sponsored the event for 37 years, is no longer providing support for the track meet. The Live Healthy Iowa Kids Track Championships are free, statewide track meets for children ages 9-14. Local track meets will be held throughout the state in April and May in partnership with city parks and recreation departments and school districts.
