Des Moines Register looks at Younkers Building, one year after fire
A year ago this month, one of the largest fires in the city’s history destroyed the former 115-year-old Younkers department store. To mark the anniversary of the fire, The Des Moines Register looks at what’s happening with the remaining portion of the structure, now called the Wilkins Building, and what projects are blossoming around the site.
