Restaurants host benefit nights in support of Metro Arts Alliance
To recognize the 40th anniversary of Metro Arts Alliance, several Greater Des Moines restaurants will host benefit nights starting now through April 10 to raise funds for the organization. The benefit nights are a lead-in to Metro Arts Alliance’s Dining for the Arts event on April 11. Participating restaurants include Baru 66, Blue Tomato Kitchen, Cafe di Scala, Fighting Burrito, The Fremont, Trellis, Urban Grill and Waterfront Seafood.
This schedule for participating restaurants and how they plan to give back is in effect now until April 10:
Baru 66 – on Thursdays, 50 percent of the proceeds of the Lady Baru cocktail will be donated.
Blue Tomato Kitchen – on Thursdays, 50 percent of the proceeds from desserts will be donated.
Café di Scala – on Thursdays, 50 percent of the proceeds from desserts will be donated.
Fighting Burrito – on March 30, between 5 – 9 p.m., 10 percent of all sales will be donated.
The Fremont – on April 1, a portion of all proceeds that night will be donated.
Trellis – every day, 50 percent of the proceeds from the cranberry lemonade will be donated.
Urban Grill – every day, all of the proceeds from the ‘Metro Arts Martini’ will be donated.
Waterfront Seafood – on Wednesdays, a portion of the proceeds restaurant specials will be donated.
