The number of Americans who would buy a home if they were to move hit a new five-year low, according to mortgage lender Fannie Mae’s national housing survey for March, The Real Deal reported. Sixty percent of respondents said they would buy. That is the lowest level recorded in the five-year life of the survey and down from 68 percent a year ago. About 34 percent of respondents said they would prefer to rent, up from 28 percent a year ago.
