Greater Des Moines residents can finally satiate their appetites for food trucks in a big way. On May 30, the Des Moines Social Club will hold the first Iowa Beverage Food Truck Throwdown. The event will take place in the Social Club’s courtyard. At least 10 food trucks will be on hand during the event and each will be paired with different beers provided by Iowa Beverage. Attendees will vote for their favorite food truck, and the winner will be crowned the 2015 Iowa Beverage Food Truck Throwdown Champion. The event will also feature live music by The Maytags, Canby, Sleep Study, Karen Meat & the Computer and DJ Omatic. The event will be held from 4 to 10 p.m. and is free to attend.
