Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Co. announced today that it has signed a letter of intent with The Coca-Cola Co. for expanded territory rights in Iowa and southern Minnesota. Transition dates for the added territories are subject to the companies reaching definitive agreements. The agreement is part of Coca-Cola’s implementation of a new partnership model that will provide for “more rational and contiguous operating territories” and a grant of exclusive territory rights and the sale by Coca-Cola Refreshments of distribution assets and cold drink equipment. Based in Atlantic with a distribution center in Waukee, Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Co. has produced and delivered Coca-Cola brands in central and southwest Iowa for more than 100 years.
