Stowe to speak on civility
Des Moines Water Works CEO and General Manager Bill Stowe will speak on leadership and civility at a Wallace Centers of Iowa lunch May 13 at Wallace House, 756 16th St., Des Moines. Water Works has sued three northwest Iowa counties over nitrate pollution from drainage districts. Pollution from crop fertilizers is one of the state’s most high-profile environmental controversies.
