Des Moines gas prices hold steady as holiday weekend arrives
Greater Des Moines’ average gas prices remained steady in the week leading to the Memorial Day weekend, AAA reported. Ethanol was averaging $2.59 over the past week, but was $2.40 a month ago. In Cedar Rapids, ethanol prices rose to $2.63 from $2.45 over the past month. In Sioux City, the same blend now averages $2.63, up from $2.31 a month ago.
