International career conference set for Des Moines
The International Centre for Career Development and Public Policy will team with Adel-based Kuder Inc. to hold its symposium June 14-17 at the downtown Marriott. An opening gala will be at the World Food Prize Hall of Laureates. Delegates from more than 30 countries will attend the event, making its United States debut. Former Iowa first lady Christie Vilsack, senior adviser for international education for USAID, will be the keynote speaker. About 20 other presenters will include Des Moines Area Community College President Rob Denson and Mary Andringa, chairwoman and CEO of Vermeer Corp.
