Veridian opens Ingersoll branch

Veridian Credit Union opened its eighth Greater Des Moines branch today and placed something of a capstone on the Ingersoll Square development in Des Moines in the process.

The branch, complete with touchscreen teller interface in its under-roof drive-through bays, includes a community room that is available after-hours, a family room and a children’s play area with 24,000 pennies, 27 of which are tails up, providing a time-consuming diversion for parents who are completing their financial chores.

Construction of the branch office evolved with the Ingersoll Square residential project, which was developed by Newbury Living. The Veridian branch changed from a single-story, stand-alone office to a state-of-the-art nook that fronts Ingersoll Square at Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and Ingersoll Avenue.

The Veridian branch also has a B-cycle bike-sharing station. The bikes can be returned to any B-cycle station downtown, and they will stand out from the crowd with their green paint and Veridian wording.
