Iowa Events Center brings in record profit for FY2015

113 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and Culture, Economic DevelopmentSpectra, the management company for the Iowa Events Center, presented a check to the Polk County Board of Supervisors today for more than $1.9 million, representing profits generated from the venue during fiscal year 2015. The sum marks a 58 percent increase from the previous year when the venue brought in a record $1.2 million in profit. From July 1, 2014, to June 30, 2015, Spectra booked 534 events at the Iowa Events Center attracting 1,239,502 customers. The Iowa Events Center is composed of Wells Fargo Arena, Hy-Vee Hall and the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center at Veterans Memorial. The venue is owned by Polk County. Spectra is owned by Comcast Spectacor.
