The Technology Association of Iowa is accepting nominations for the annual Women of Innovation awards. The categories focus on women in the science, technology, engineering and math communities, in business or academia. Students also will be recognized. Two new categories have been added. The first focuses on a female who advances opportunities for underrepresented populations in a STEM profession; the second aims to recognize a company that uses original thinking to close the gender gap in its organization. Nominations are open through Sept. 14. The awards dinner will be in Nov. 10 at Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center in Des Moines.
