A new national campaign that seeks to change the way Americans think and talk about “good jobs” will make a stop at the Iowa State Fair on Saturday. Workshift: Good Jobs for All asks American workers to answer “what makes a good job” through an interactive art installation. Fairgoers can drop a ball in one of four plexiglass boxes representing the campaign’s core values of a good job: flexibility, stability, opportunity and pride. The initiative, which was launched last week in New York City, is organized by Purpose, an activist nonprofit, and funded by the Rockefeller Foundation, whose work seeks to advance inclusive economies that expand opportunities for more broadly shared prosperity.
