Candeo, a Polk County nonprofit organization supporting adults with intellectual disabilities, brain injuries and chronic mental illnesses, will host a fashion show fundraiser Oct. 15 aimed at raising awareness and support for Iowans with cognitive disabilities and their families. The Dine & Shine event will be held 6-10 p.m. at Proof restaurant in Des Moines. Dine & Shine attendees will be treated to a smaller, three-course version of Proof’s Second Saturday Supper while enjoying a fashion show auction. The auction will feature Candeo clients modeling items donated by local stores. Tickets to the event are limited and went on sale Sept. 15.
