Hy-Vee seeks tax credits for HQ expansion

80 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentHy-Vee Inc. is seeking a tax rebate from the city of West Des Moines for the expansion of its corporate office and conference center, as well as an extension on its construction deadline, The Des Moines Register reports. Hy-Vee has already been approved for $7.5 million in state tax credits, and the corporation has asked for $1.3 million from the city to complete the $70 million project. Officials hope their request will appear before the City Council on Oct. 19.
