Artists Rachel Buse, Larassa Kabel and Robert Stephens of Des Moines, along with two other Iowans, were announced as the recipients of 2015 Iowa Arts Council fellowships at an Oct. 15 awards ceremony. The fellowship was created to support professional and creative Iowa artists who demonstrate excellence and innovation in Iowa. Each fellow receives a $5,000 grant, access to professional development opportunities, crowdfunding, promotional support and the ability to travel throughout the state offering public programs about their work. Larassa Kabel’s work has previously been selected as the cover of our 2014 Book of Lists and was also recently featured in ia magazine.
