MPO accepting grant applications
The Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization is accepting applications through Dec. 1 for the 2020 Surface Transportation Program grants and the Transportation Alternative Program. The grants provide flexible funding for states and municipalities. The intent of these programs is to improve road and bridges, and to support projects that help pedestrians and bicyclists get around. The MPO distributes about $12 million a year through these grants.Read more
