Remainder of school districts apply for teacher leadership initiative
Gov. Terry Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds today announced that all 336 Iowa school districts have now applied to join the state’s Teacher Leadership and Compensation (TLC) system. Enacted in 2013 as the centerpiece of an education reform package, the TLC initiative’s goal is to develop a statewide teacher leadership system, with the goal of all school districts participating by the 2016-2017 school year.
