Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Co. announced that it has signed a letter of intent with Coca-Cola Co. for expanded territory rights in Iowa. The bottler will assume territories in the area that surrounds the distribution centers located in Mason City, Ames, Spirit Lake, Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Ottumwa and the Quad Cities. Financial terms were not disclosed. Spokeswoman Jana Rieker said the letter of intent expands a letter of intent signed in April in which the company announced it would add Mason City, Ames and Spirit Lake to its territories. The process should take from 18 months to two years in order to ensure a smooth transition for employees, customers and consumers, Rieker said.
