Sioux City is the most affordable housing market, West Des Moines the least

184 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentWest Des Moines, with an average listing price of $363,008, is the most expensive housing market in Iowa, and Sioux City is the most affordable, with an average listing price of $130,798, according to a report from Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC.
The Coldwell Banker Home Listing Report ranks the average listing prices of four-bedroom, two-bathroom homes in 2,700 markets across the country, including 17 markets in Iowa.
The six most expensive markets in the state are located in the Greater Des Moines suburbs. Des Moines ranks No. 15 with an average listing price of $171,363. The average listing price for the state was $221,838.
The report is based on houses listed at coldwellbanker.com and excluded markets that did not have at least 10 four-bedroom, two-bathroom homes listed for sale between December 2014 and June.
