United Way of Central Iowa seeks nominations for Live United Recognition, the organization’s annual tribute to those organizations and individuals who give, advocate and volunteer to improve lives and build a stronger community. Nominations will be accepted through Dec. 18. Give awards honor companies and organizations that demonstrated excellence, creativity and generosity during the 2015 United Way of Central Iowa campaign. Advocate awards recognize organizations and one individual that demonstrated exemplary advocacy work in Polk, Dallas or Warren counties to the community closer to United Way of Central Iowa’s goals for 2020. Volunteer awards honor organizations and one individual who dedicated time to a program in the community that addresses the priority areas of education, income or health. Honorees will be announced at the annual Live United luncheon on April 12, 2016. Nomination forms may be found on United Way’s website.
