Windy governors become sunny, too
The Governors’ Wind Energy Coalition has changed its name to the Governors’ Wind and Solar Energy Coalition. You guessed it: The group plans to add lobbying for solar energy to its support of wind energy. Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad is chairman of the coalition. “Bringing to bear the support of America’s leading governors and their commitment to both solar and wind energy, and the coalition’s high-quality policy work, this group can have significant influence,” Branstad said in a statement.
