Speaker series to feature lessons from three unique women
Des Moines-based Chrysalis Foundation will host an event called Conversation Speaker Series: Dream Team on Feb. 23. The event at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden will feature a panel of three speakers: Rae Fehring, executive director and founder of GirlsRock! Des Moines; Marji Guyler-Alaniz, president and founder of FarmHer; and Kittie Weston-Knauer, the oldest female BMX racer in the nation. During the event, each woman will share their stories about how their hearts and minds led them to do what they most loved, and the lessons they learned along the way. The event starts at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchasedonline.
