The area’s musical showcase, CarpeDM Music Mix, is accepting local music submissions for Volume III. The project backed by the Greater Des Moines Partnership and the Des Moines Music Coalition will feature local music onSeizeDesMoines.com with downloads. The project supports The Partnership’s promotion of the region’s creative culture and quality of life as a way to attract and keep workers for area businesses. The Music Mix will be unveiled at the South By Southwest (SXSW) Interactive and Music Festival in Austin, Texas, in March. Following SXSW, the compilation will be distributed at career fairs and out-of-state recruitment events and on the website. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. Feb. 29.
