Deere & Co. has notified 100 manufacturing employees in Dubuque and Davenport that they will be laid off effective April 1, the Quad-City Times reported. Deere said the layoffs are a result of changes in demand. In recent years, Deere has laid off nearly 1,500 workers in the Midwest as demand for its agriculture and construction equipment declines.
