Ankeny lawyer Jon Holmen has been named general manager of McGough Construction’s new office on Delaware Avenue in Des Moines. McGough is based in St. Paul, Minn., but is active on projects at Iowa State University and Grinnell College. The company has added five jobs at the Des Moines office and plans more hiring. The office will specialize in strategic facilities planning, preconstruction services, construction services, facility management and development services. Holmen has more than 17 years of experience in the construction industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from South Dakota State University and a law degree from Drake University Law School. McGough also has an office in Cedar Rapids and other offices in Minnesota, Arizona and North Dakota.
