Census: Ankeny among nation’s fastest-growing cities
Ankeny was the third fastest-growing city in the country in the year that ended July 1, the U.S. Census Bureau reported. The suburb grew by 6.5 percent in a year, to 56,764. Des Moines ranked 104th, growing to 210,330 from 209,709.
