Las Vegas-based Scientific Games Corp. plans expansions of its facilities in Des Moines and Cedar Falls that are expected to create 51 new jobs in the state. The Iowa Economic Development Authority today awarded tax benefits to the company through the High Quality Jobs Program for the expansions. Scientific Games plans to invest $300,000 in the Des Moines facility and create 20 jobs, 17 of which are at a qualifying wage of $26.72 per hour. The $400,000 capital investment expansion in Cedar Falls is expected to create 31 jobs, 27 of which are at a qualifying wage of $16.79 per hour. The company develops technology-based products and services and associated content for the gaming and lottery industries worldwide.
