West Des Moines company plans $11 million expansion

The West Des Moines City Council will vote on the city’s required local match under the state’s high quality jobs program tax incentives. Innovative Injection Technologies plans a $10.7 million expansion at its site at 2360 Grand Ave. The company produces injection molded plastics and is a major supplier of those components to Deere & Co. and Arctic Cat Inc., according to a report from the city’s community development department. The city would provide a maximum $258,000 five-year, sliding scale tax rebate. The company is seeking a credit on sales taxes paid on construction materials, and investment tax credit and a research and development tax credit, according to the report to the City Council. According to its website, Innovative Injection Technologies currently employs more than 190 people in West Des Moines.
