DART gives Presutti raise, five-year contract
The board of the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority recently signed General Manager Elizabeth Presutti to a five-year contract beginning Friday. She also got a nearly 8 percent raise in her base salary, to $152,500 from $141,362. The agency runs a system of buses, vanpools and shuttles and promotes park-and-ride and bike-and-ride. DART also has studied the possibility of train-like bus service called rapid transit. In addition, Presutti has been active in looking for ways to link affordable housing areas with public transit. The board represents local governments.
