MPO water trails meetings start today
A series of presentations on a draft water trails plan for Greater Des Moines begins with a session at 5:30 p.m. today at Clive Parks and Recreation, 1900 N.W. 114th St. The Greater Des Moines Water Trails and Greenways Plan was developed by the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. It lays out ways to improve water recreation on 150 miles of streams, including the Des Moines, Raccoon, South Skunk, North and Middle rivers and Beaver, Fourmile, Mud and Walnut creeks.
