Workiva reports higher net loss in second quarter
Ames-based Workiva reported operational losses of $11.3 million for the second quarter, up from $10.6 million for last year’s second quarter. Still, the company brass saw positive signs. “We posted strong results in the second quarter, highlighted by 27 percent revenue growth over the same quarter last year,” Matt Rizai, chairman and chief executive officer, said in a statement. “We outperformed our guidance for quarterly revenue, operating loss and loss per share.” Total revenue was $43 million, up from $34 million for the same quarter in 2015.
