REG posts stronger second-quarter results
Ames-based Renewable Energy Group sold 150.1 million gallons of fuel in the second quarter, up 56.2 percent from the same period a year ago, the company announced. That led to a 49.4 percent increase in revenues, to $558.3 million. Net income attributable to common stockholders was $6.9 million, or 16 cents per share on a fully diluted basis. That compares with a net loss of $2 million, or 5 cents per share, in the same period a year ago.
