A recreational vehicle outfitted with a mini-museum of Iowa history will travel to all of Iowa’s counties in the coming year, thanks to the sponsorship of EMC Insurance Cos. Mike Wolfe of the television show “American Pickers” is the narrator for the audio and visual components of the Iowa History 101 exhibit, according to a release from the State Historical Museum. It’s the second time EMC has contributed to a traveling history museum, said the company’s president and CEO, Bruce Kelley. In 2011, EMC sponsored a traveling exhibit “to commemorate the sacrifices Iowans made during the Civil War and to recognize our company’s 100-year history,” Kelley said. “There is no better way to connect Iowans across the state than by sharing the stories that make us who we are.”
