Planned Parenthood to let go of 3 clinics in the South
Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, which is based in Des Moines, plans to transfer ownership of three clinics in Arkansas and Oklahoma to another affiliate. Clinics in Fayetteville and Little Rock, Ark., and in Tulsa, Okla. will shift next month to Planned Parenthood Great Plains, which is based near Kansas City, Kan., reports The Des Moines Register. The Des Moines-based Planned Parenthood added the clinics to its network in 2011. After the shift, the local organization will operate 14 clinics — 12 in Iowa and two in Nebraska,President Suzanna de Baca said.
