Junior Achievement of Central Iowa’s board has hired Ryan Osborn as the organization’s new president, effective Oct. 17. Osborn, who has been director of advancement at Dowling Catholic High School for the past six years, currently serves on the JA of Central Iowa board of directors. He fills the position vacated by Nick Colletti, who left the organization in July. As president, Osborn will oversee a staff of seven who manage the organization’s work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy programs that reach more than 31,000 Central Iowa K-12 students. Prior to his work at Dowling Catholic, Osborn worked in Chicago as the director of Constituent Relations at St. Ignatius College Prep School and as a teacher and coach for St. Agnes of Bohemia Catholic School. Osborn has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa, a Master of Education degree from Loyola University, and will receive an MBA from UI’s Henry B. Tippie School of Management. Osborn was honored earlier this year as a member of the Business Record’s 2016 Forty Under 40 class.
