Anawim launches housing project

Anawim Housing will have a groundbreaking ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Thursday for its Brickstones at Riverbend senior housing development at 513 Forest Ave., near the Sixth Avenue corridor. The site currently is an empty lot that will be transformed into a 30-unit multifamily development featuring two-bedroom apartments with community room space. Earlier this year, the Iowa Finance Authority awarded Anawim Housing $456,296 in tax credits for the project.
