A charity golf event hosted by Hubbell Realty Co. raised $16,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association. Hubbell Realty on Monday presented officials of the Greater Iowa Chapter with the proceeds from the Hubbell Extreme Charity Golf Classic held last month at the Copper Creek Golf Club in Pleasant Hill. More than 250 golfers and dozens of sponsors participated in the fundraiser, which raised twice as much as the previous year. The proceeds will be used for research and to support local families through support groups, education and family care consultations, said Kay Rader, development director for the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Iowa Chapter.
