Mercy College to launch two new degree programs

The Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management program will be offered at Mercy College’s downtown campus, and the majority of the courses will also be offered online, allowing students statewide to complete the program. The new health information management degree was made possible through a $50,000 grant from the Telligen Community Initiative. The Mercy College Public Health program will be Central Iowa’s first bachelor-level program of this discipline, according to the college, and will prepare students for entry-level positions in public health or graduate education. The program will prepare students to take the Certified Health Education Specialist exam.
