Creighton economic index for Iowa falls
Creighton University’s Mid-America Business Conditions Index survey of business supply managers showed Iowa dropping to 48.3 in November from October’s 48.9. An index reading of 50 on the 100-point scale is growth-neutral. New orders stood at 46.1; production or sales, 47.9; delivery lead time, 55.8; employment, 43.2; and inventories, 48.4. “Both durable- and nondurable-goods manufacturers experienced pullbacks in economic activity,” economist Ernie Goss said.
