Iowa biofuels lobby rakes pick of Perry for energy secretary
Iowa biofuels supporters are burning over President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of the former governor of an oil state, Rick Perry of Texas, as energy secretary, The Des Moines Register reported. Perry has been a consistent critic of ethanol. However, Trump supports renewable fuels and has assured the biofuels lobby that both the Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will, too.
